I was wondering if anyone knows the size of the bolts that hold the hood to the hood springs?

You need six bolts in two sizes. They are special shouldered bolts.

It is interesting that they now list stainless and regular steel. Not too long ago the best price anyone could find for a stainless steel set was at least $100, I think.

At $100 a set, I'll get a couple of bars from McMaster and start turning them out on my bench lathe one at a time.

What's with the Avatar Tim, you stay up late last night designing that???

Denny,

A set of 6 stainless steel bolts from Chevs of the 40s is about $50 (vs $16.50 for regular steel). I've never had problems with those bolts (as long as you carefully install them with no cross-threading. Too dear for me, even at $50.
