My truck is a 3600 second series. The numbers on title and truck show a J255L which belongs to 3/4 ton made in LA. Eight lugs and all. Should I try to change or let it go. May be opening a can of worms. Every thing is original I know I am third owner and second was good friends with first owner. Would it be OK to keep copy of old title to verify history? Just tossing this out there. THANKS GUYS

Since the numbers agree there is no fraud or fraud-attempt - just an old mistake. You could bring documentation that the J indicates a 3/4-ton along with a picture of the truck that shows the wheel studs, etc. and ask to have it corrected. I would certainly keep a color copy of the front and back of the old title for history. I guess you will have to surrender the old one with your application...
