Quick and probably easy question:
I assume the crossmeber has to be removed in order to get enough clearance to get the shaft out of the way and pull the tranny back and out?
Thanks!

I didnt remove my cross member on my 46 to get the tranny out,i unbolted the rear shackles on the springs and took the 4 bolts out of the front of the torque tube, and unbolted the u joint,I only unbolted the mount on the middle of the crossmember, and swung the rear back enough to clear the back of the tranny, and pulled the tranny up thru the floor of the truck, really wasnt that hard, and barely laid on my back under the truck,
