I went through this same situation on mine when i rebuilt my frame.. I bought the wheel cylinder kits but when i finally got them tore down they were pitted beyond repair. So i just ordered new ones. Just remember to not cut corners on the brakes. Be on the safe side and do it right. New lines and hoses too. Ive known people that have rebult the master cylinders and they were pretty rough to start with and have held up well.. I personally bought all new parts for mine..

r.j.

Had the same problems last spring with the front wheel cylinders on my 1950 3800. Found new cylinders here in Minneapolis at Brake & Equipment Co., they have them in stock, they also have rear cylinders in stock. I also had them work on the the master cylinder, they bored it out & relined it with stainless. That took about 4 or 5 days to complete. I also put in all new brake lines, so my brake system has been working great. Good luck with your truck.
