I don't see it on any trucks but is available to buy. I can understand that it would get damaged very quickly given its location right by the rear bumper, but why don't people put them on? Especially the purest-restorer? Maybe it was an option, or a "Delux" part?

I think that Patrick's also make a 47-53 rear filler-panel (that is sold by several other vendors). Maybe it is made by MarK? As Denny posted, there was no factory original, or RPO, or accessory rear filler panel.
The 47-53 filler panel does not work on 54/55 Advance-Design pickups.
