what is a good motor to put in a 41 chevy 1/2 tom pic up ? i got a chance to pic up a truck with a tight motor >>?? mick

The 216 in my 41 had a cracked block or I would have used it. I am putting a 235 into it now.

I would go with 1954-1962 235 or 261 engine.

If you want to leave it original you might be surprised at the availability of 216 motors. They are sound and proven motor and for pleasure use will last a long time.
