I'm looking to put a new set of gauges in my 49 3100. It has all 74 Camaro running gear and driveline. The holes in the dash measure 5 1/4 dia but all of the gauges I find are 4 5/8 and have bezels that are 5 dia
If I have to fabricate bezels, I'm thinking I might as well fab the whole dash and use whatever gauges I want.
Who makes a set of quad gauges that fit the 49 dash?

There are adaptor bezels out there for the guages, usually in billet alum. I had mine special ordered, was not cheap, but looks and quality was excellant

I'm using AutoMeter quads with stock bezels .....
They look great.
You gotta fiddle a bit with the spacing and mounting studs on the backside, but
a great alternative to the MAJOR job of re-fabriacting a dash from scratch.

Also, used a RetroSound stereo in the stock radio holes ....
Came out better than I hoped for.

Baba this is a problem that seem to comes up quite regularly.
Thanks to an idea from fellow 'bolter Dan Bowles I fitted my New Vintage Woodward series gauges using his technique.
Like Project Helen says,there are billet adapters available but at a price.....
Assuming your old original gauges are kaput and you don't mind cutting them up you can use the original shells as housings.
Here's how I did mine.

I'm really pleased with the end result.

This forum is great! None of the folks that I talked to at the catalogs or manufacturers could tell me that I should use my original bezels. That's why the holes are 5 1/4 and the gauges are 4 11/16. Duh.
