After many requests over the years, I finally took the time to scan the entire 1946 Chevrolet Truck Data Book for Chevrolet Salesmen and have posted it on www.46chevytruck.com

Here's a link to the page that contains the full databook (as well as other reference materials for 46 trucks. Click here

Keep in mind that it is an entire 375 page book so the file is HUGE (350MB).

Merry Christmas!

I've followed your project ever since you started posting it, one fantastic job you‘ve done.
You've documented it well enough on your site that you could and should put in print
calling it the “Restoration Bible for the Chevrolet Art Deco Truck.”

Thanks for posting the Data Book Tim, those are next to impossible to find anymore.
That willingness to share information with anyone who's interested is the magic that
makes the Stovebolt group truly the best there is and is a shining example
of what an open forum can accomplish. Nearly 30,000 registered members and
still growing strong.

Many of the private clubs keep books like this locked away and only allow the dues
paying membership access to their "secret" archive of documents. That practice only
drives people away, me for one. It’s the main reason they can’t keep members
interested and struggle to get new members to join up.
Thanks again,

I can't wait to read this! Thanks for taking the time to scan, and host this. I'm with Denny, the sharing of information on the Bolt here, and by fellow Bolters makes owning and working on one of these so much easier.

Merry Christmas.

Tim -

My hat's off to you for a wonderful job on a time consuming task. Your '46 Data .pdf is filed in my Stovebolt library. Those pre-AD trucks were really nice looking. Saw some beautiful configurations in the factory pics. Thanks for sharing.

Have a great Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Tim,
What a great Christmas present!
As always you have made a wonderful impact on the forum. Your interest in the "saving" of these old trucks is commendable.
I know this project took considerable time & effort and it is much appreciated. You have a beautiful truck & a great web site. As I have told you before your site has saved me time & effort in the restoration, in progress, of my 46.
I hope you & your family have a great Christmas & a very good new year.

I am very happy to continue to add resources to the page as I either get them or as I find the time to make them digital. I am probably overdue for a total Web page overhaul but that will have to come in time.

Preserving these trucks and making it easy(er) for others to do the same I think is a good cause. If it was not for Stovebolt web page, it would have been a much harder trip formyself.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year and Happy reading!

Tim

Tim,
Thank you so much for scanning the entire 1946 Chevy Truck Data Book for Salesman. Your work and dedication is by far the best in
sharing information on your restoration where others can learn from your knowledge and experience.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and your family.
