I had to put some 8.25x20 chinese tires on my old ford, and they were very very close to matching the bfg's that are also on it. They come in 7.50x20 as well. I think the brand is akuret, but they are a highway type tire. I am not sure if they make a traction type tire.

There are some craigslist search engins that will search all of the US craigslist ,just google craigslist search engine .www.searchtempest.com does it but it's a little slow and a pain in the butt .The biggist problem is that the 20" size is used for a lot lowrider wheels now so you get a ton of false hits in the search ,good luck

I was quoted $450 (New Zealand $) for an ex-USA tyre, and that was too much for me. I found some chinese tyres for NZ$249. They are from the Shandong Linglong Ruber Co, which didnt sound promising. I have them on the truck (which isnt mobile yet) and they look fine and have heaps of tread. I will say this: they are the truest tyres I have seen in a long time, the runout is almost imperceptible. The company I got them off say they have had no problems.
Also I have a buddy in Thailand. He has found that the army there run a large fleet of old Toyota military vehicles- and these are all derived from the old chev trucks. The wheels are identical (7.5 x 20) and they run a chevron pattern (thats what we call them here) military mud pattern tyre like old WW2 jeeps. These are made by the Siam tyre co today. Siam tyre list them on their website. Maybe you can get those in your area, if you are hard up for a tyre.

I am close to ordering 4 but the shipping, $157, is a little daunting and I'm going to call my regular tire guy this week to see if they can get anything close.
I may order 2 LingLong 11R 22.5 steer tires for my Pete at the same time as the shipping amount stays the same. That must be the "pallet" shipping price.

Didn't need all of them replaced and the new ones for the front are the exact same as the old ones! I have a 49 and was very pleased, $210 mounted on the lock ring rims. Didn't think that was too terrible considering no one wants to work on them anymore.
