hey guys need a lil help i bought the old truck with plans of restoring it
bought it from a buddies salvage yard here in ocala fl the engine leaks a little water into the oil pan i changed drivers side head gasket but its still leaking not as bad as it was but
i am looking for another 6v92 to put in it or for parts plus another w900a for parts
i work at the petro here in ocala an been around big trucks all my life any help would be greatfull thanks guys

If you have the oil pan off,pressurize the cooling system, and look up in the bottom of the crankcase at the cylinders. You will probably find one of the cylinder o-rings are leeking coolant, as the 92 series Detroit has o-rings on the cylinders.
I would advise you to change all the o-rings, if 1 is leeking, as they are dried out.When you reinstall the linners, and the head, go by the manual. IT IS CRITICAL, to get it right.

yeah i replaced the driverside head gaskit i guess i need to do the other as far as the manual i got it on cd from ebay about the same time as i got the truck thanks for the imput steve have a great holiday season

Check those liner o-rings, before you pull the other head, as you can't pressurize the cooling system unless it is all together.
That 92 series is different to the 71 series, as it has wet liners.
