When I got the truck (basket case) the doors were fairly intact but there were no door handles... Will Model A Ford door handles work? I have no desire to restore this to any kind of exact standards, I just want the doors to stay shut.... Are there alternatives other than door poppers?

Do you have any restoration parts catalogs?
I did have a 1928 car and remember a little about door handles... if I were in your situation I'd find the right part for the job and not try to substitute or modify.
