Did Chevy make the interior garnish moldings for the doors out of stainless for the deluxe models or were they just chromed?

AFAIK They were stainless.

Stainless steel - I think they were only available during years of the single door-widow trucks (I'll check tonight).

One more question, did they make the inner windshield moldings out of stainless also?

They would have to match the stainless dash parts.

Yes, the 1951 Truck Data Book (TDB) indicates that door window reveals (outer molding) and door window garnish molding (inner molding) were bright meal (stainless steel).

I do not have a 1952 TDB but the 1953 TDB does not show an option with any bright metal window moldings on either side. My guess is that is the same for 1952 (because most bright metal was not available in 1952-53 due to the need on certain metals during the Korean conflict).

In 1954, the exterior bright metal (stainless) window molding returned but there was no option in 1954 that included bright metal interior door-window garnish molding.
