I have some pretty bad rust thru the cab interior just above the windshield seal. Not sure how to repair. I'm not doing a major resto on this truck, but would like to fix it up enough to put a new paint job on it and make it look half-way decent. Not sure if fiberglass will work, but I'm leaning that way, as it's really the only thing I know how to do plus the repair panel may be too expensive for me. Any idea's appreciated.
When you say above the windshield seal, I take it the damage is in the roof? The biggest problem with fiberglas and steel is their differing expansion rates. Repeated cycles of heating and cooling will stress the resins hold until it releases, then you have a nice sail flapping on your roof. Save all that headache and weld in the repair the first time.
Your right. I'll just have to get some help with it..... What about body solder ? The outside is ok.... It's the inside, in the cab itself, that's the problem.
