I have a 1952 chevy truck. I am gone to swap frames with s10 and put a 5.3 chevy engine and auto transmission in it.I am wondering about wiring will it match the s10 ? should I get automatic s10? I have herd guys using steering colums and brake pedalsand wiring harness. Is there problems with 1994-2004 steering colums orshould i go with 1983-1993.the other question is about the newerbrake pedal harder to fit because of cast frames. sorry for all the question just want to get right year and first build to.

sparkysmile you can also checkout killbillet.com. it is a rat rod site but lots of s10 swaps with pictures for AD conversions.

Hey new guys, the HAMB has many S-10 swaps as well as on here. I myself went down that path however the whole cooling system vs steering and the fundamental first law of physics pushed me back to a stock frame with my crossmember kit on it for my '53. In fact I traded a rolling S-10 frame with custom isolator mounts for the cab for a stock '53 3/4t frame without axles

Sparkysmile, there is not much different between the 1982 and 2002 frames on an S10. you will need to rewire everything - old truck, s-10 frame with LS based motor. your best bet is a new wiring harness to start with.
