Hi! My truck had at sometime been fitted with an older rear with huck brakes. I want to put in a new total assembly (rear, brakes, etc.)that has a better ratio, since I do not need to pull trees out of the ground. So, I know I know I need to lose the torque tube, but what should I be asking for? I was looking at Moser and drivetrain specialties, but would be better if I knew what I was asking for. Thanks!

Anything out of a 55 to 59 1/2T should work. You can get the hiway ring and pinion for them now. Could be other rears to that I don't know about. Some of these other bolters know more than I. I used a 59 1/2T rear with a 55 pass. car drive shaft and saganaw 3 speed trans. It all bolted up fine. I've changed it all since.
