I want to know how I can adjust the timing back to stock specs. The engine is a 235 but it's the low oil pressure 216/235. Bear in mind, I really have no mechanical know-how. I know body work mostly. So if anyone can help me out, or send me a link to something that could help I would be very grateful.

Set the points for .018" at the lobe on the cam and then rotate the flywheel until the steel ball is at the pointer. This is seen through the hole above the starter. The steel ball is very tiny and I had to crawl underneath, take the inspection cover off and then mark it with chalk. Anyways after lining up the ball, undo the bolt that holds the distributor from turning and turn it as necessary until the points are just opening. That is where you want it.
