| | | | Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 6 Member | | Member Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 6 | I have a 1946 Chevrolet 2 Ton truck that I have just taken the transmission apart on. It has some pitting on the gears and some of the bearing need to be replaced. Does anybody have any ideas as to what other transmission would bolt up to the 235 six cylinder that sits in this ole truck? I believe that the current transmission is a 5 speed T-33 Warner. Or do you know of any body that would be able to get me parts for the tranny. At what point do I replace the gears. Tranny seems to run good in all gears except for 5th where it whines a little bit when running in that gear.

I live about 30 miles southeast of El Paso in a small town called Tornillo. Just exit at Tornillo head south till you get to the Family Dollar store, hang a right go down about 1/4 mile and the first house to your left is where I'll be every Saturday caressing my old truck back to health. Give me a holler if you plan on headin on down.
