So would like to use all the good internal parts that I can. Replacment block is out of a 1965 Chevy Truck 230 cid. ? Want to turn 230 cid into 250 cid? It looks differant on the Aft rear outside of block. Meaning casting looks not as strong as a 250 block. Not sure on the inside? Cam Bearings differant? My concern is if the 230 cid block is just as strong as the 250 cid block? Is the casting on 250 cid blocks stronger? Has anyone rebuilt a 230 cid into 250 cid? | | |

If you want to build in a little more power while you're in the process of assembling the engine, swap the dish-top pistons for a set of 307 V-8 flattop pistons. They're a bolt-in swap with no modifications. I've built several warmed-over 250's that way. Jerry
