Has anyone bought the reproduction rear fenders for the '47 - '54 Chevy Trucks? Are they any good?
They told me they were imported from a company called "hequing industries". Not sure who that is. But I've heard good things from DII/Dynacorn.
Any comments would be appreciated. Just trying to find a quality fender for a good price. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 | I have Dynacorn repo doors and one front fender and there were still a lot of issues. I don't think anything fits like original metal. Though it could also be that expectations today for perfectly lined up panels might also make people disappointed. I've seen many factory fresh trucks in old photos and you can see the panels aren't perfect.
You can't beat that 20% off deal! I would buy a couple thousand bucks of stuff every year for my truck. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 59 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 59 | I bought the floor pans from them during a prior sale.. They fit ok.. Most all the panels will need some work somewhere to make them fit just right

So keep that in mind when purchasing. I've heard Dynacorn parts are pretty good. It all depends on how fussy you are with panel fit and gap spacing. One guy's eyes see something out of adjustment that someone else is willing to live with. | | |
