I'm a little confused. I have a turn signal switch that is mounted near the bottom of the steering coulmn (see link #18 in LMC catalog). http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cbe/full.aspx?page=100
I am about to order #12 from the following link. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cbe/full.aspx?page=82
My question is how do the wires attach to the signal mechanism kit (#12 from 2nd link) and then to the switch (#18 from 1st link)? Is there a past post that has pictures and/or directions?

There is a cable that runs down the stearing column where the swith actually mounts. when you move the lever a small arm gets rotated up or down and pulls the cable which gets clamped into the back of the switch. You need to get it set correctly so that when the turn is canceled the switch is centered up. If you don't then your brake or tail light won't light up. I don't remember which one. I never did get mine set right. If I turn right I have to switch mine to the left and then off so it work correctly. When you get the parts or take yours apart you will see how it works.

Thanks for all your help. Turn signals work great...except. When I signal left or right, the front parking lights both flash. The rear lights work and flash as they should.
I did wire the headlights and parking lights to both be on at the same time when the headlights are turned on, but I don't think that makes a difference.
Any ideas?

Since my rear turn signals work fine, could I wire my front parking lamp and rear lamps together on the turn signal switch? In other words, wire the front and rear left lamps on the rear left lamp terminal and the front and rear right lamps on the rear right lamp terminal. I'm thinking that the front parking lamp posts are defective since both parking lamps are getting power at the same time.

If you do that aren't your front turn signal lamps going to light every time you step on the brakes????

Do you have dual filament bulbs in the front? If they are single filament for park lights only, they aren't gonna work like you want.

So jmoore, you're saying I need dual filament bulbs? I monkeyed around with different switches today. My harness rep was somewhat clueless about how to solve the problem. Like most things, I bet it's a fairly easy fix. You just have to figure out what it is. Changing bulbs would fall into that category.
