What is the best way to deal with the rust that is inside the doors of my 58 apache. I am going to replace the bottoms and lower skins, so can I do something then when I have the most access? Thanks

If it is just surface rust, then clean up any loose rust and paint it with POR 15. You should have really good access once you cut off the bottom of the doors.

I had the doors for my '59 acid dipped. Removed everything including rust! Reveals any and all weak spots. When I cut out the door bottoms I brushed epoxy primer everywhere I couldn't get with the spray gun. Then did it again with a brush on a long stick after replacing door bottoms.

I recently did the bottoms of my doors and found it was very easy to access them while they were cut out. With the windows out and the doors flat you can reach everywhere. Since I couldn't get a sander of grinder in there I used a wire wheel on a drill bit extension to remove most of the loose rust then, I used a phosphoric rust treatment, made sure I neutralized it well and painted the insides of the doors with rustoleum clean metal primer.(cause its inexpensive and I didn't want to worry about my epoxy primer having issues with the acid) then I applied self healing seam sealer to the panel seams for overkill.
