Hello ,

I know I am not much of a poster on this site. A friend took some pictures of my project the other day, so I thought I would try to share them.

The truck came from a friends avacado farm, so I made the headliner as a nod to its history. Take care

UPDATE
Added some more pics. front and back bumpers on, had them line-xed due to all the pitting that was on them. Fuel tank filler installed for underbed tank. Grille and headlights put on. Should have fenders and running boards on by end of the week

My link did not work, I spend most of my time in the shop and very little on the computer. I will try again to post them,

Looks good! I know everyone is going to want to know so I'll ask it. How about some details on making the headliner? Screen printed? Hand painted? Material?

That is the coolest headliner I've ever seen. Nice work!

What kind of engine is that? It almost looks like a diesel.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

In regards to the headliner. It is a one piece fiberglass headliner. A friend of my owns a sign shop, I took him some old crate labels and the headliner. They scaned the labels and then formated to the dimension of the headliner. It is basically one big sticker, similar to the wraps the put on vehicles.

The engine (gasoline) is a 4.3l vortec v6 out of a Chevy s10 Blazer with a 460l trans. I took it for a spin around the neighborhood and it is a fast little truck. I hope to have all the bodywork back on real soon.

Great job so far! I too especially like the headliner. We sold our avocados to King Salad a half century ago and it brought back a lot of memories to see the label. I am currently struggling thru the process of installing a fiberglass headliner in my 1952. It probably wouldn't be a struggle except I have only my wife as a helper.
