guys,
im running a sbc 350 in my 57. i swapped out the aluminum pulleys that were on it, crank and water pump, for some chrome steel pulleys, hoping to get rid of the belt squeal i was getting with the aluminum pulleys.
question..... the aluminum pulleys, both crank and water pump, were the same diameter, 6.5". the new chrome pulleys are different diameters, with the crank a little bigger, say 7" diameter, and the water pump pulley smaller, say 6" diameter. will my water pump and alternator run the same speed as before, of will they run slower or faster now ? the belt length is the same.
just curious.
