Jack up one wheel, mark the tire and the driveshaft. Turn the wheel two complete revolutions and count the turns on the driveshaft. It will get you close.

11 teeth on the pinion,41 teeth on the ring.
41 divided by 11 =3:73
Pull the inspection plate off,,count the teefers on both gears,and divide. | | |

It must be a 1970, 63-mid 1970 rears are 1 1/2" narrower than mid 1970-up, dunno why unless they were gearing up for the(wider)disc brakes that came in 71. The 70 rear is a one year only, being 6 lug & wider than the 63-mid 70 rearend. | | |
