I have an old brochure & it shows what looks like a light olive green. Was the pan a darker color? The brochure also shows a different color (green) for the full pres. 235 blue flame, does this hold true,?

No one, even on the VCCA discussion board, has posted a GM documented color-code for any engines (I hope I am wrong, but the last thread on engine colors that I saw was based on strongly-held and differing opinions with no factory documentation).
Can you post a scan of the color brochure?
Does you 1953 Sedan Delivery (1508) have a Powerglide transmission?
What is the engine serial number on your engine (it is pressed into the ledge in the block just to the rear of where the distributor goes into the block)?
The 1508 Sedan Delivery is listed in a January 1953 Truck Data Book as having a truck Thriftmaster 216 (92hp) engine. It would have been painted a shade of gray. That 1953 TDB does not mention a 235/Powerglide option (I thought they were both available on a Sedan Delivery). Oddly, the May 1953 price list in the TDB also does not list a Powerglide/235 option for the 1508.
The 1954 TDB shows RPO 313G as the 1508 Powerglide option and car Blue-Flame engines.
The Blue-Flame 115hp 235 (De Luxe 6, used with Powerglide-equipped) 1953 car engines were the first "Blue Flame" engines and they were painted blue. There was also a 1953 108hp 116 Thrift-King (Special 6, used with non-Powerglide-equipped) car engines was painted a different color but the color in the illustration that I have is a dull beige color (I thought if was the older gray color).
The 1953 truck 235s and 216s were painted truck engine gray (the same gray used in earlier years).
