In my search for an engine a couple of retiring builders have contacted me. They're wanting their stuff (even machinery) all gone or else it's off to the scrap iron buyers. The closest is at least an hours drive and they're not wanting to list all of their parts/cast numbers.

Aside from the generic parts I need, are there specific engine parts that would be definite grab regardless of condition?

What kind of machinery is available? Drop me a PM if the list is a long one.

Edit: Pistons, connecting rods (Babbit or insert-type), crankshaft and/or camshaft cores, basically any engine hard parts can be sold on Ebay or swapped for stuff you need. The last of the stovebolt engines was made 60 years ago, and some of the hard parts are getting scarce. I just missed out on a huge quantity of reconditioned 216/235 babbit connecting rods- - - -the owner of a shop where I bought a 216 core engine had sent them to scrap recently.

Let me know what's available- - - -if you don't want I might be interested.
