Getting ready to re wire my 1946 1/2 and need some advise on which size of wiring loom to buy. I know that I need a thicker size wiring loom coming out of the fire wall and than probably another size to the front lights and the back lights. What 2 sizes fit the best and how many feet of each size do I need ? Any advise or suggestions are appreciated.

I'd suggest buying a harness. A homemade harness all done in one or two colors is going to be a devil to troubleshoot. Since you have obviously no experience with wiring, expect some troubleshooting to be required.

I already have a EZ Wiring Harness but want to wrap the wires in a
loom but I am undecided on which size I will need and was wondering if anyone recently had used wiring loom on their truck.

just wrapped up rewiring my 46 one ton with a ez wire harness.I used 3/4 " for the wires going through the driver side firewall.1/2" for the rear lights,and some 3/8" for some of the guage and coil wires.As far as how much, i would measure your runs and add about 20%.I was happy with the quality of the harness for the price,about half of painless and most others.the printing on the wires every 5" is a big help.Good luck,take your time and if you don,t have one get a good soldering iron and lots of assorted heat shrink tubing the kind with adhesive liner not the cheap crap.

I used similar sizes with the crap I bought from the Irish FLAPS, one got within a few fractions of an inch of the valve cover and warped badly. If you know of a place that has higher grade material, use it. This stuff was paper thin.
