As usual, I'm sorry about posting car questions on a truck site, but this IS the site where the experts hang out!

After a six month search, I'm about ready to throw in the towel on finding a pressurized 235 to replace the worn-out dipper in my wife's '53 Belair.

We've gone through a handful of candidate motors and they've all been something besides a 235. My wife's mechanic now has three engines and one complete car sitting in his lot that people have given my wife, thinking they were the right item.
We now own the 235 dipper, a 230, a 250 and a complete Chevy II/194 (which we're going to re-vive so she can drive something besides her **** pickup).

If we wanted to go to a V8, which engine fits with the least hassle into her engine compartment?
I know the whole rear end has to go as well...

The money I save as a mechanic, I spend on medical bills!
