I bought most all the patch panels over the years but now see they have a complete floor. All those patch panels would take alot of welding. Also I thought why not take a sheet of 16 gage cold rolled still and just make it one piece? Local place said $80 to $100 for a 4X8 sheet. What you guys think? Any one done it thid way? About $500 for the complete "floor" (floorboard and toeboard).
If you have the tools and the skill and the time, make your own.
If you have the money, and cannot do your own metal-work, and you want it to look somewhat original, and you do not want to hassle with locating cut-outs and holes, and you recognize that you will most likely have to deal with the frustrations from fixing poor-fit-issues, then buy the "repo" floor panel.
