I have a 46 two-ton that came with a non-functioning set of turn signals. They were wired totally separate from the brake/tail light. I have installed new wiring and purchased a 7 wire turn signal unit and installed it. My wiring is as instructed except for the wire to the brake light switch, which I have not connected (since the turn signals are totally separate). The good news is that the lights light up as they should. The bad news is that they don't flash. Any ideas? Thanks for the help - I love these forums! | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | a 7 wire unit has to include the brake light circuit - read this carefully - rewire your unit as a 5 wire or set it up so you have "dual brake lights" Bill | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | If the lights come on & dont flash you have a bad flasher or the wrong one. That is a very handy feature of it but it can be wired to use separate lights for the signals and the brakes.
