Floors were painted the interior color (in one-tone interior trucks).
What kind of Chevrolet truck? Pickup-up, panel/canopy, or suburban (they had different interior colors).

If the 55-st series was the same as the 54, the standard pickup interior color was Pearl Beige. The deluxe interior color was Pulsar Gray.
As suggested above, find a spray paint color that matches your interior and paint the floor that color.
