I'm hooking up my new heater, and the instructions are a little confusing, and contradictory to the way I think it should be hooked up. i could be wrong though, it happens all the time.

Anyway, the directions state that the heater inlet should connect to the intake manifold, and the heater outlet should connect to the water pump.

Does that sound right? For some reason to me the flow of water would be- out from the water pump, through the heater core and into the manifold. Since water is "pumped" out of the water pump, right?

I'm going to follow the heater instructions, I guess. Just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Intake manifold?? Do you mean thermostat housing?

If they dont know what an Intake manifold is, The SBC will be bad news to.
Intake you should get hotter juice from there & Close to the pump for the best Juice pull.
