Good morning from Indiana! I went to look at a 216 yesterday and the gentleman said it came from a '37 farm truck. I had my iPad ready to look up the engine number but couldn't find one anywhere! Also, I would like to use this motor in a 51 chevy 3100 pickup but I'm not sure what differences there were between 37-51 motors.

Hi, Greg. Welcome to the 'bolt. There's lots of great people in here that are willing to share their expertise. To help you get an answer to your question faster, might I suggest posting this in the engine forum. That way, the engine gurus will be sure to see it.

Good luck in your search for the right motor.
