I am going to need some tail lights for a cab-and-chassis 1955 Chevy 6400 I am hoping to get. Can I buy trailer lights from tractor supply if they have backup lights, and stop, tail, and turn signals? I have seen this on a few beat up old farm trucks driving down the highway, but just because it's on the highway, does not always mean it's legal on the highway.

short answer is yes, but you might consider finding a copy of the Texas motor vehicle laws and reading up a bit about lighting requirements

I could not find the lighting requirements. I looked in every section on there and could not find it. Did I miss it? The link worked, but I could not find what I was looking for. Can anyone help?

You know that's an excellent question. I took some time and tried to find lighting statutes and they seem to me difficult to find. If it were my trying to find out I'd take the "contact us" link and send them a question. Kansas motor vehicle statutes are much easier to find and browse.

I use them... I figure as long as the function is the same why would the fuzz care?
