Will that 250 block match up with '51 GMC 3-speed manual transmission? | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | You would need a bellhousing from a '55-'72 V8 or a '63-'72 6, plus a few chassis modifications, to make it work with the stock transmission.
You'll need to get the correct head in order to use the 250 block, the 235 head will not work with the 250 block.
