Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 7 | Hi I have a 52 Chevy 3600 I have restored.I am trying to figure out how to hook up the throttle cable to the Rochester carb. When I hook it up I run the cable through the accelerator linkage and put a cable stop on it.The problem is when I pull the throttle I am pulling against the stiff return spring.I am at a loss. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 166 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 166 | You have it hooked up right. Push the gas pedal down with your foot while pulling the throttle cable, much easier! Then you can take your foot off the gas pedal and it will stay put. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 7 | When I let off the gas it wants to pull the cable back in.

(choke and throttle cables) You must have that or it wont work. PM me your e-mail address if you need a picture. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 7 | Yes I do.After further research I beleive I have a different spring than original. | | |
