Jul 21st, 2025 | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 | In another 4 to 6 weeks the 52 gets put away and the next project gets started.It's a 53 GMC 3/4 ton 5 window truck it's in much better shape than the 52 was when I got it.It has a 228 cu.in. 4 speed trans. somone painted it black,but it's all there and it's drivable.
I need to start planing all the stuff that it's going to take to fix her up ,Any thoughts on GMC info would be a good start I ordered the shop manual today.I can't wait to get started it's been alittle boring not working on a truck every day.
I need info on things like engine color,brake sys.,etc,etc.

Be sure to join the discussion forums. There are lot's of subtle differences between the Advance Design trucks and the New Design GMCs. Don't let anyone tell you they are the same. Man what a find, those kind of truck and cars should be preserved exactly as they are other than cleaning the grease and mud off once in awhile. Thanks for hosting those pictures.
Keep us posted on your restoration. I'm gonna be buggin' Pete to take a lot of pictures this time round.
