Just a thought. I would definitely have to have a discussion with John and Peggy first though. | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 | I like it too.

Thanks. I really appreciate all the positive feedback but I don't want to get ahead of things. I was just thinking is all. I also want to obey the forum rules against selling. I will contact Peggy and see what she and John think. Maybe something could be worked out. Where did you come up with the medallion?

The first thing I see when I open up the Stovebolt this morning is the dream knob.
I have always liked(loved) the art deco design and, Old Gold, your knob lookes great. My wife likes it too. | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 |

Thanks for thinking of us Mike.

How did you make the insert????? You either made a punch and die that you’re stamping them with from thin brass or you’re making them individually in a CNC or you’re acid etching them and them polishing them. I’d guess that the knob itself is either cast urethane or polyester resin or else machined in a CNC from Delrin or something similar. You seem very reluctant to tell us how your doing it. But honestly, we’re not going to take steal your secrets from you, 99.9% of us are not in the business of producing limited numbers of shifter knobs in competition with you. But some of us would like to know how you made them.

It wouldn't fit my '48 three-on-the-tree shifter, but I'd buy one anyway and figure out a way to incorporate it into my truck. | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 698 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 698 | They look Great!

BUT ... to let you all know, I should have called Mike on Monday and it didn't happen. It's back on the list for today - weekend for sure.
As I mentioned, this reminds me of the license plate frame. We have some very talented people on the site and we appreciate that some of it covers our area of interest. So, we'll get it worked out. But as Cletis said, feel free to PM Mike if you want to get something soon.
