old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 46 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 46 | Could any one tell me how to get back doors alined from door to door? There is no adjustment that I can see, the doors line up perfectlt from mounting to cab to doors left and right, but door to door off over 1/4 inch. I thought of repairing back door hinge pins and maybe checking if body is twisted? Need some answers expecially with owners that work on their own vehicles. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | Previous discussion on this subject. I have asked many panel truck owners at Frog Follies in Evansville, none could answer my question. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 46 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 46 | Could anyone tell me what the cylindrical tube is all about. It is located at center of back bttom next to it is the bottom ramp latch to rear passanger door. I have no idea what that center bottom tube is all about? | | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 | This hole is so you can operate the spare tire holder under the truck. I think this was changed in 1950, when they stopped making the rear sill with the hole/tube and went to a different design for the spare tire holder.

It's always better to have one topic per post as to find it in the future. Here's another post on the same subject. | | |
