I'm new here. Just bought my first Chevy. It's a 1971 C-20 Fleetside longbed w/454.
How do I tell which Dana 60 is in it short of removing it for a spline count?
I'm thinking about a Detroit or Aussie locker for it, but am wondering about other locker options, particularly so-called soft lockers. I'm not interested in an air locker.
Also, I cannot find any data for the gear ratio. Supposedly it has 4.11 gears, but I can't find a tag or code. I suppose if I have to I'll jack it up and count the revolutions, but brrrr it's 20 degrees here.
