Well,

I went to NAPA with the filter holder and no success getting the right filter. Nobody can seem to figure out what size fits it. Below is a picture of the filter container. There are six series stickers on it but please do not assume its an S6 because those stickers were only added for aesthetics and I really have no idea what type of container it is. I just need a filter that fits... autozone, napa, whatever.

Thanks,

Dan

You will have to measure your canister and compare the the filters suggested in the thread above.

I used the fram but that may not fit your canister
Good luck

Try a Wix #51006. Your filter looks like the unit I have on my '47 Ford.

It looks like a Fram filter but has AC emblems on it. It seems like they have consolidated the replacement cartriges & they both use the same one.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

I had to order the Fram C4P... hopefully that is the correct one.

I forgot to mention, inside the oil container is a large washer, and spring. I know these questions seem stupid but I seems like on this car its the little things that keep hanging me up. Can anyone tell me the order of installation or have a copy of a diagram on how to properly install the filter. I just want to be sure it is actually going to "filter" and do it properly.

Thanks alot for the help thus far.

Wasn't the Fram C4P. Think I am going to have to run it without one for now.

Maybe if you give us the interior dimensions you have we could help you out.
