Now I know several people that have done this, have used a drive shaft out of a Chevy Astro Van. What other options do I have just incase I can't find an Astro Van? Thanks George | | |

I used the driveshaft out of an 85 S10 shortbed pickup. Had to cut it down 1-1/4". Later on decided to re-center my 54 AD rear end in the wheel well.....needed 1-1/4"!!!!!
I am running a 235, correctly mounted, an 85 T5 and a Camaro diff and would suggest that you try the S10 one piece short bed drive shaft. Didn't have to change the rear universal.....bolted right up. Not positive, but I think any of the short bed S10's up to 89 (all mechanical speedo's) would be the same. Hope this helps.
