Where would I find the data plate on an early model 47 gmc Coe. Is the engine number in the same location on a gmc as a chevy on the distributor side of the engine. Need info for a bill of sale. Also truck has 5 bolt 20 inch wheels on it think it's a 1 1/2 ton has about a 11 ft wheel base. Was wondering what trucks might have interchangeable wheels with it. Have a scraper/ crusher business down the road thought I could maybe get them to set aside some good roller tires if I knew what might interchange wheel wise. It's hard to watch what goes through that place but can't save them all

I'm pretty sure all chevy COE's are 2 tons, My 46 chevy COE has a body tag under the hood on the right side of the cowl which identifys the date and location of manufacture as well as the wheel base threw vin buster on this site. But GMC's may be different. Spanky would probably be able to anwser all your questions.
