The gear set says 11/57 43/14. I'm assuming the 11/57 was date of manufacture. The backing plate and brake drum has about a 1/2 inch offset inboard. The 57's are flat.
My question, will my backing plates from my 57 bolt on? I used the GMC (Dana) drums with my Chevy shoes and innards. I have had no problems.

Needed to use the 58 parking brake shaft because of the offset. Luckily the rear end still had the brakes attached so sourcing the part wasn't a problem. The brake drums are shot, so need to source a pair. | | |
