This is a picture of a hose close to the fuel pump on my 235 engine. The rest of the hose travels up and around the back of the engine.

Does this thing attach to the fuel pump?
What is it for?

Thanks!

Do your wipers work? It looks like at one time your 235 had a vacuum pump attatched to the fuel pump. These were accessory pumps in order to stop the annoying wiper slow-down when going up hills. If your wipers work, they've either been converted to electric or the vaccum hose now runs to the manifold. In any case that piece of hose is extra baggage at this point.

I'll try to post a picture of my truck with a working fuel/vacuum pump assy tomorrow. I will take a few to show the routing of all lines, Dave
