I’m new here and kinda bumbling around, I think I’m in the right place now? I have a newly acquired 1950 Chevrolet 1/2 ton panel basket case. The package has a collection of original and aftermarket parts. I’m in the process of just figuring out what I have, need, and want. I have two front seats which appear to be original. Out of a lack of knowledge I will call them bucket seats. They look literally like a modified garbage can with cushion bases and back pads. The question is what came in the panels originally? Did they come with two seats or just a driver seat? And finally, in the original configuration did the seats have sliders? Looks like a sweet forum and I’m anxious to do some digging with the search button. Thanks in advance

Try using the SEARCH feature at the top of the page.

You can modify the SEARCH by typing PANEL SEATS without the quotations before and after the keywords to minimize the search too. Lot's of good information on this site that has been discussed before. Lot's of panel owners too!

Well I took your advise and went through all 40 pages that came up in the search... Unless I missed something most of the topics on seats were like "What will fit" and "What I used"... The few that were close were for 30's and the others 60's model. So if anyone knows the answer to my question and would like to answer we will then have it so the next guy will be able to find it in the search mode. thumbs_up

What you describe sound a lot like OE panel seats to me. Search function is lame.
One seat was std & the other side optional.

Thanks so much... After taking a close look it looks as if the passenger seat is a flip forward design and the driver looks to be a bolt down model. Im guessing it will bolt to a slider just fine! Thanks again.

From the search function. Did you click onto the BLUE link that I included? I would not have steered you to that area if I had not done it myself to see what is there. There are several posts that either describe or have links to pictures that shows the seats that are original to the panel.

Your seat look like the proper seats. My driver seat is able to slide ahead or back, with the backrest able to tilt forward. The passenger seat tips ahead, allowing access to the back.
