For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 | I’m new here and kinda bumbling around, I think I’m in the right place now? I have a newly acquired 1950 Chevrolet 1/2 ton panel basket case. The package has a collection of original and aftermarket parts. I’m in the process of just figuring out what I have, need, and want. I have two front seats which appear to be original. Out of a lack of knowledge I will call them bucket seats. They look literally like a modified garbage can with cushion bases and back pads. The question is what came in the panels originally? Did they come with two seats or just a driver seat? And finally, in the original configuration did the seats have sliders? Looks like a sweet forum and I’m anxious to do some digging with the search button. Thanks in advance

You can modify the SEARCH by typing PANEL SEATS without the quotations before and after the keywords to minimize the search too. Lot's of good information on this site that has been discussed before. Lot's of panel owners too! | | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 | Well I took your advise and went through all 40 pages that came up in the search... Unless I missed something most of the topics on seats were like "What will fit" and "What I used"... The few that were close were for 30's and the others 60's model. So if anyone knows the answer to my question and would like to answer we will then have it so the next guy will be able to find it in the search mode.

One seat was std & the other side optional. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 | Thanks so much... After taking a close look it looks as if the passenger seat is a flip forward design and the driver looks to be a bolt down model. Im guessing it will bolt to a slider just fine! Thanks again.

I would not have steered you to that area if I had not done it myself to see what is there. There are several posts that either describe or have links to pictures that shows the seats that are original to the panel. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 18 | Guess I screwed up... Im still learning your forum here and dont get me wrong, the advice to search is what I would have done to the guys on my 2 forums as well. Here is a link to the ones I have. http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g23/metaltwister/50%20Chevy%20panel/I will now go back and find the Blue Link... Thanks again My Bad! Followed the blue link to the Jack Pot. Thanks again
