I built a new rear bumper and a lumber rack for a customer's 66 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. He still uses it pretty regular and like it was intended so the bumper is pretty heavy duty. The lumber rack I built so the spreader bars bolt to the sides of the rack, making the rack removable by taking it apart. Both of them I tried to keep period correct in appearance. About the only thing I'd change is to make the lumber rack a little shorter so it's closer to the cab.

That is a sturdy looking bumper and nice truck rack. It's hard to find a modern day rack to use on early trucks. Scanning your album, I see you are a very creative metal fabricator. Really like your porch and garden rails. Very stylish and eye catching. Nice work all around.
