I was wondering what year 350's i can buy that would be a direct bolt in without having to buy new motor mounts, and that my stock 4spd transmission can handle. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 109 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 109 | Same question. I have a 66 GMC Suburban with the 305 V6.

Just thinking about it for now. Do you mean the perch that is welded to the frame? If I have to have welding done then there are many anvenues to go.

If I have to have welding done then there are many anvenues to go. the 230-250-283 eng perches are all the same and they bolt in. the 292 i6 perch is different on the pass side so you do not want that. you would require the chev bellhousing and that will mount to that crossmember. you do not need a rear trans mount unless you are going for an a/trans in which case you remove the crossmember which goes under the bellhousing and install a rear trans crossmember. some guys want good money for those p/glide rear crossmembers. there are others that you can use though for a lot less ron | | |
