On our '60 Apache w/235,I finally got around to changing the oil.I don't
how many years it's been since it's been
changed.The truck has 5500 miles on it.
Anyway,my problem is that it's hard
to screw the bolt on that holds the canister in place.Do I just tighten it down really tight,or what?

I changed the gasket and would just tighten it down hard. It seemed to work okay. ... But I did later decide to get an adapter so I could use a newer spin-on oil filter. I like it better. Once again - my stupitidy,tightened it down (over & over),
& now it quit leaking.
